Sudoku Shuffle is a Sudoku variant available exclusively for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The puzzle game combines the elements of Sudoku and the challenge of a Rubik’s cube.

How to Play

Classic Mode

You start with a Sudoku grid filled with out of place numbers. The goal is to rearrange the numbers so they form a valid Sudoku puzzle. You move the numbers around by sliding the rows and columns using touch gestures. A valid Sudoku puzzle must have one of each number in every row, column, and square region.

Sudoku Shuffle puzzles come in two sizes. The smaller, mini Sudoku puzzles, only use the numbers one through four. The larger, standard size Sudoku puzzles use the numbers one through nine. The rules are exactly the same for both. This means you can perfect your strategy on the smaller puzzles, and then apply the same techniques to solve the larger ones.

Color Challenge

Once you’ve mastered the classic Sudoku Shuffle puzzles, take a shot at the Color Challenge puzzles. To solve these, you must arrange not only the numbers, but also the colors, so that each square region is one solid color, as you would see on a completed Rubik’s cube.
